Human Head Transplants Two Years Away

According to Italian surgeon Dr. Sergio Canavero, shown below, human head transplants are two years away. The first successful head transplant was completed in 1970 on a monkey that survived for only 9 days and could not move it’s body.

Dr. Canavero notes that the big problem won’t be the technology but the ethical implications, which could stall advances in this area before they start.
